The development of the consumer prices in the EU
Since the economic downturn inflation in the European Union has been at a relatively low level. It has not exceeded
2.1% since January 2009.
Eurostat, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis), the European Central Bank and the EU-Commission all offer a wide range of statistics and charts on this topic.
Using the data, you can check in which EU states hotel and restaurant prices have dropped recently
and investigate where food prices have risen most sharply in recent years.
