Youth in Europe
One fifth of the EU population is aged 15 to 29. How old are these young people on average when they first move into a place of their own? Are there differences in unemployment rates by educational level? How many people are working on a temporary contract?
Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union, has published a statistical portrait on young people in the EU. This publication highlights differences between the generations and between Member States.
This PDF publication is available free of charge and offers statistics on topics such as demography, education, labour market, living conditions, health and social participation .
