Topic Highlights: Minimum wages in the EU
The level of the monthly minimum wage varies considerably from one country to the
next: Within the EU the new Member State Bulgaria had the lowest monthly minimum wage
(123 Euro) in early 2009, whilst the highest level
was once again to be found in Luxemburg (increasing from 1503 Euro in 2006 to
1642 Euro in 2009).
